I’m a qualified counsellor with a Diploma in Integrative Counselling and a PQ Diploma in Eating Disorders.
I support individuals through a range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, and grief, as well as feeling overwhelmed and negative relationships with food and body image.
I believe that every person has the potential to heal and grow, and I approach therapy with a deep sense of empathy, respect, and understanding.
In today’s society, particularly with the rise of social media, we are often conditioned to believe everyone’s lives are perfect. The carefully curated posts we see online can make us feel like we’re the only ones struggling, but this isn’t true. Many of us face difficult emotions and life challenges, and reaching out for support is okay. My role as a therapist is to create a safe, non-judgmental space where you can be open about your experiences, free from comparison and societal pressure.
My approach is integrative and person-centred, meaning I tailor our sessions to suit your unique needs. I draw from various therapeutic techniques that can help you move toward greater clarity, self-acceptance, and healing. I believe that therapy should feel safe, unhurried, and rooted in real connection. My style is down-to-earth, empathetic, and responsive to your pace and needs. Whether in-person in Exeter or from the comfort of your home via online counselling, we’ll work together to explore what matters to you.
Whether you're navigating body image concerns, struggling with an eating disorder, or dealing with other personal difficulties, I am here to support you through your journey.
I live near Exeter, surrounded by nature and animals. Spending time with them constantly reminds me of the importance of self-care and being kind to ourselves. I carry this philosophy into my work, helping you reconnect with your true self, build resilience, and navigate life’s challenges in a healthier, more balanced way.
If you’re ready to take the first step toward healing or simply want to learn more, please feel free to contact me in confidence.
Having experienced counselling myself, I understand how overwhelming it can feel to take the first step. The process can seem like a minefield, especially when trying to find the right counsellor for you. But I also know just how transformative counselling can be. For me, therapy was a turning point. It helped me understand myself better, see situations from different perspectives, and provided me with valuable techniques to navigate life’s challenges. It was this profound impact that inspired me to train and become a counsellor — to offer others the same opportunity for growth and healing.
I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), which means I adhere to their ethical guidelines, ensuring that I offer professional, ethical, and client-centred support at all times.
I’ve had the privilege of providing counselling services at AGE UK, and I currently provide counselling for Parental Minds, a charity that supports families struggling with their mental health. Through these roles, I’ve seen firsthand how invaluable counselling can be. At Parental Minds, I've witnessed parents rediscover themselves amidst the fog of overwhelming emotions and stress. The change I’ve seen in families and individuals is a constant reminder of the power of therapeutic support.
In addition to my general counselling experience, I have undertaken a Post-Qualifying Diploma in Eating Disorders, which has deepened my understanding of the complex relationship people have with food and their bodies. I am passionate about empowering clients to embrace who they are, to be proud of themselves, and to work towards a place of self-acceptance and healing.
I have also completed further training in trauma, grief, and anger, which has helped me develop a well-rounded understanding of the challenges people face and the most effective ways to support them.
Each step of my journey as a counsellor has only strengthened my belief in the healing power of therapy. My aim is to help you feel heard, supported, and empowered as we work together towards your personal growth.
I respect and value the strength of each client therefore adapt my process to your individual needs. Ensuring I provide a compassionate space where you feel heard.
I take my responsibility as a counsellor seriously and am committed to providing you with the support and tools you need.
I value each person as an individual and recognize your strengths and weaknesses in order to offer you a supportive and respectful therapy.
